Police are interviewing a woman who they say was found with a 2-week-old boy who was reported missing from West Palm Beach.

The baby, Mar’Quan Johnson, was reported missing from the 1400 block of Village Boulevard. Mar'Quan's mother was taking a shower when her baby was kidnapped, police said.

When the Amber Alert was released, police said they believed the baby may be with Latonia Alvin, also known as Latonia Williams, 33. Alvin was described as a new friend of the baby's mother who was watching the child for a little while.

An Amber Alert for Mar'Quan featuring a picture of Alvin was put out Friday morning. On Friday afternoon, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement canceled the Amber Alert after police said he was found in Riviera Beach.

Police were interviewing Alvin on Friday afternoon.

Police sources said that Alvin had been telling family members and friends for weeks that she was pregnant, so they believe she took the baby with the hope of covering up her lies.
